We’re proud to share that in December 2025, 1800 4 Choice was awarded the Moore Australia (WA) Award for Best Collaboration Between Government and any other Organisation, Category 1 Silver.

This recognition celebrates the strength and impact of the partnership between Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ) and the Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS), and our shared commitment to improving access to reproductive healthcare information across Western Australia.

1800 4 Choice was launched in line with the Abortion Legislation Reform Act 2023 (WA) to improve access and promote reproductive autonomy across the state. This award recognises not only the service itself, but the power of collaboration between government and community organisations to deliver meaningful, person-centred health initiatives.

1800 4 Choice is a free, confidential helpline and website providing non-judgmental, evidence-based information about abortion and reproductive healthcare in WA. Led by our experienced team of registered nurses, the service supports people to understand their options, navigate the healthcare system, and make informed decisions that are right for them.

People can access 1800 4 Choice via phone, email, webchat, and an interactive provider map, making it easier to find timely, accurate information and connect with appropriate services, no matter where they live.

We want to thank everyone involved in the development and delivery of 1800 4 Choice, and the people across WA who trust and use the service. This recognition reinforces our ongoing commitment to provide accessible, respectful, and evidence-based reproductive healthcare information for all.
