SHQ Sexual Health Helpline provides free, confidential advice and support around issues relating to sexual health and relationship wellbeing.

SHQ Counselling is an accessible and non-judgemental service that is inclusive and welcoming. SHQ’s counsellors and psychologists are specialised in the area of sexual and relationship well-being, and offer a service where sexual health, relationship and unplanned pregnancy issues can be talked through in a safe and confidential environment.

The Abortion Project is a pro-choice peer support network for people who have had abortions. They exist to foster community, facilitate dialogue, friendship, solidarity and hope.

HealthySexual provides lots of information about being a healthysexual including STIs, free online STI testing, consent, how to talk to your partner about safer sex and how to get support and reliable information about sexual health.

Sexual and Reproductive Health

SHQ’s Youth Clinic runs every Thursday night from 5.30pm to 8pm. The friendly doctors and nurses can help with sexual health services - STI testing and treatment, unplanned pregnancy services, and contraceptive options. All services are confidential – this means that things like test results will not be shared to anyone else. Anyone aged 18 and under or with a government concession or health care card will be bulk billed for doctor consultations and pay no out-of-pocket cost for reproductive and sexual health nurse consultations.

Get The Facts presents information for young people about sexual health and relationships, including puberty, body image, tattoos, piercings, sex and sexually transmissible infections, contraception, consent, pornography and more.

Minus18 is Australia’s largest youth-led network for LGBTQIA+ young people.

The Line talks about relationships, gender, sex, bystander action and technology; how to keep it healthy and respectful for teens, parents and teachers.

Kids Helpline is a free, private and confidential, phone counselling service specifically for young people aged between 5 and 25 years.

Young People

EmbraceU is an inclusive space providing sexual health and blood-borne virus information for the trans, gender diverse & non-binary community.

QLife is Australia’s first nationally-oriented counselling and referral service for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and/or intersex

The National LGBTI Health Alliance is the national peak health organisation in Australia for organisations and individuals that provide health-related programs, services and research focused on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people (LGBTI) and other sexuality, gender, and bodily diverse people and communities.

Transfolk of WA is a support service for all transgender people and their loved ones in Western Australia. The organisation provides safe spaces where members can access dynamic peer support.

M Clinic provides free, confidential, non-judgemental STI/BBV testing and treatment to men who have sex with men, trans, and Non-Binary People who have sex with men.

GRAI are an organisation working to enhance the quality of life for GLBTI (gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans*, intersex) elders, focusing on improving GLBTI awareness in aged care services (both residential and community care).

The Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing is WA’s peak body for domestic and family violence services, sexual assault services and community-based women’s health services.

Stopping Family Violence is WA’s peak body supporting all sectors and services involved in responding to perpetrators of family and domestic violence.

DV Assist has resources on family and domestic violence in regional, rural and remote areas of WA. DV Assist has a telephone counselling services, a live Web Chat services and a comprehensive online information hub.

Our Watch is a national leader in the primary prevention of violence against women and their children in Australia. Our Watch has information and resources to help prevent violence at home, in the workplace, in sporting clubs and in the community.

Another Closet is a NSW based information and resources website for LGBTIQ people who are or may be experiencing family and domestic violence. It includes information on LGBTIQ experiences of violence, safety planning, recovery, supporting a friend or family member and more.

Sexual Assualt

The Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) provides a 24-hour emergency service in metropolitan Perth.

Languages other than English

Family Planning NSW has information about sexual and reproductive health, contraception, menstruation and STIs, in various languages other than English.

Multicultural Services Centre WA

People with Disability

The SHQ Disability Team of counsellors, educators and psychologists provide holistic support services catered to people with disability, addressing the psychological, biological, and social aspects of sexuality and relationships. SHQ is registered with the NDIS and offer free services for people who are at risk, are vulnerable or need immediate support.

Sex Workers

Magenta is a peer-based project dedicated to providing services to support and promote the health and safety of people involved in the sex industry in Western Australia. Services include anonymous and free clinical services for sex workers, support and assistance negotiating with other community agencies, referral services, and cheap safe-sex supplies.
